"Advancing transformative change for the well-being of Métis children, youth and families"

MCCF Projects and Publications

The Métis Commission for Children and Families of BC (MCCF) has undertaken numerous key projects in support of increasing and improving Métis child welfare services and practices across the province. These pages  highlight, and provide access to, various completed projects. As the legislated “community” for Métis children and families throughout BC within child welfare, our work is based on interactive and inclusive participation with the community we are serving and those serving our community. Through community engagement and participation we are working to create holistic, and culturally appropriate and supportive services and programs for the Métis community of BC.  In an effort to increase and foster dialogue between Métis community members, associations, and service providers as well as the provincial government, MCCF is fostering transparency within the province with access to project information and our work.

Based on the categories below, you can find copies of the work MCCF has completed or is involved in.  Each page is arranged based on up to 3 types of work - documents, research findings, and presentations.  If you have any questions regarding the work please contact the individual identified within each category or call our office at 250-372-8688.
